WHAT IS A HIGH FREQUENCY TREATMENT?
The High Frequency Facial is a skin care treatment used by professionals to help treat and prevent stubborn acne, shrink enlarged pores, reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, decongest puffy eyes, fade dark eye circles, rejuvenate the condition of the scalp and nourish hair follicles for healthier hair growth.
Electrical facials in general can postpone the early signs of ageing, improve the appearance of the skin and erase minor sun damage, scarring and pigmentation. This treatment can be applied in two different methods ‘directly’ or ‘indirectly’ to the skin, the machine uses a high frequency current that alternates (from Positive + to Negative - ) numerous cycles per second.
What are the Benefits of a High Frequency Facial?
- Stimulates sebaceous gland activity when applied for a short period of time.
- Germicidal effect is produced which destroys bacteria, therefore effective at treating pustular conditions. This sparking effect produces ultraviolet emissions, which also destroy bacteria. This effect is produced when the electrode is moved away from the skin slightly causing the current to jump across the air gap to the skin (fulguration).
- Speeds up cell metabolism, which improves the appearance of the skin.
- Blood vessels vasodilate resulting in improved colour to the skin.
