Microneedling/Skin Needling

Derma Pen/ Microneedling uses needle pricks to send the skin into "repair mode," which stimulates the growth of new collagen (much like pricier laser treatments do) and helps fade the appearance of acne scars, sunspots and fine lines.  On this course you will learn how to perform the treatment using a derma pen addressing the visible signs of ageing, as well as acne scarring, slackened skin, stretch marks, uneven skin tone and dilated blood vessels.

WHAT IS DERMA PEN/MICRONEEDLING

Micro-needling is also known as collagen induction therapy.  It is a cosmetic procedure. It involves pricking the skin with tiny sterilized needles. The small wounds cause your body to make more collagen and elastin, which heal your skin and help you look younger.

It is also a great treatment for treating acne scarring, ageing, pigmentation, scarring & stretchmarks.  It works by creating multiple superficial puncture wounds, releasing growth factors that stimulate fibroblasts creating new collagen and elastin.  The aim is to traumatize the skin without collateral damage to epidermis and health tissue.  Recovery is rapid with no residual pain or discomfort.
