WHAT IS A REFLEXOLOGY TREATMENT?

All foot massage is beneficial, but Reflexology provides a specific method of working on the feet to balance health and well being in the whole body.  It is based on the principle that the feet are a map of the entire body, so that when the reflex points are stimulated, the therapist is treating the whole body not just the foot.  The concept is not new, the Chinese developed the technique thousands of years ago.  Modern reflexology offers tremendous health benefits; it can help reduce stress, improve circulation, cleanse the body of toxins and revitalise energy levels.  Reflexology works by stimulating the body's own healing mechanisms in order to restore balance and a feeling of well being.  The feet have reflex points which map and reflect the entire body.  These points are located on both the sole and top your feet.  These points can be massaged in specific ways to affect correlating points within your body. Vital organs can naturally heal and improve simply by applying certain foot reflexology techniques.
